Celebrate learning, science, and discovery at Educator Appreciation Day and Biomechanics Day on Saturday, March 9, 2024, with two special events highlighting the role of Zoo Atlanta and partners as leaders in education beyond the classroom.

Educator Appreciation Day: Educators enjoy free admission and $5 off general admission for up to four family members or guests. Educators receive additional discounts around the Zoo and are encouraged to visit a variety of booths to meet Zoo team members and learn more about educational programming and professional development at Zoo Atlanta. Booths will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Educator Appreciation Day discounts are valid only on Saturday, March 9, 2024, and apply to active teachers; local and out-of-state educators; informal educators; and administrative support staff. Educators must present a valid educator ID or relevant documentation and a photo ID to redeem the discounts. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Pre-register and learn more here at zooatlanta.org.

Biomechanics Day: Zoo Atlanta is proud to contribute to the 2024 Atlanta Science Festival with Biomechanics Day: Animals in Motion. With help from experts from the Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Akron, Belmont University, Clemson University Department of Biological Sciences, Emory University, and Vicon, guests of all ages can participate in live demonstrations highlighting human and non-human biomechanics and will gain an appreciation for real-world applications in Bioinspired Design. Activities will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and are free for Zoo Atlanta Members and children under 3; free with general admission. Learn more here.
